Ovuzonye Samuel
Ataribu Ovuzonye Samuel is an African STARS Fellow currently enrolled for MSc in Bioinformatics of Infectious Diseases at the Centre for Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI), Stellenbosch University. With a background in applied mathematics, he has developed strong expertise in mathematical modelling, computational analysis, and data-driven approaches to biological systems.
He has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and developed advanced numerical models that address complex challenges in biomathematics, industrial systems, and disease transmission. His research seamlessly integrates mathematical theory, data science, and computational methodologies to generate meaningful insights into biological processes and public health outcomes. Beyond research, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to knowledge transfer and capacity building through tutoring A-Level students, where he fosters analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
His research interests focus on infectious disease modelling and human hereditary studies, where he seeks to generate insights that inform effective and sustainable health interventions. Driven by a passion for impactful research, he aims to contribute to evidence-based solutions that advance global health and support the Sustainable Development Goals
