About Dr Chanelle Molopo

Dr Chanelle Mulopo is a public health social scientist with over a decade of research experience at the interface of environmental change and population health. Her research focuses on climate change and health, health systems policy, and the translation of climate evidence into policy and practice. Her work spans water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) and schistosomiasis, climate-related mental health, and knowledge translation. She has expertise in transdisciplinary and mixed-methods research, evidence synthesis, and community-based participatory methodologies. Dr Mulopo has published widely in international peer-reviewed journals, and serves on the executive committee of the Women Leaders in Planetary Health South African Hub.
