Maambele Khosa is the Head of Communications, Media and Marketing at CERI-Stellenbosch University, where she leads strategic visibility, scientific engagement, and communication operations across all major programmes, grants and partnerships. She oversees media, branding, stakeholder relations, events, training, and digital strategy, ensuring that CERIâs scientific outputs, discoveries, and innovations are translated into high impact narratives that reach policymakers, funders, global partners, and the public.
She spearheads communication deliverables across national and international grants, supports consortium reporting, and coordinates science communication linked to publications, workshops, seminars, capacity building trainings, fellowships, and high level policy engagements. Her leadership strengthens CERIâs role as a continental leader in epidemic preparedness, genomic surveillance, and scientific innovation.
Ambie has received recognition for excellence nationally and internationally. She holds a BSc in Geoinformatics, PGD Marketing, an MPhil in Science and Technology (M&E), and is currently completing a PhD in Science and Technology Studies, specialising in Science Communication.
