Desalew Meseret Moges holds a PhD in Geoinformatics and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School for Data Science and Computational Thinking at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. His research advances environmental and geospatial modeling to address complex global challenges by integrating satellite Earth observation data, spatial analytics, and predictive modeling frameworks. His work focuses particularly on land?use dynamics, climate–health interactions, and remote sensing–based decision?support systems. Moges is currently investigating how climate change and human mobility interact to shape the spatial and temporal patterns of infectious disease risks across Africa.
